Meet Katrice Kendle
Katrice Kendle holds a master’s degree in education, Community Counseling, CACREP program; and graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a Communications minor, both obtained at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Katrice offers counseling to adult clients (18+) and recognizes the heightened need for caregiver support. Caregivers seeking counseling services are encouraged to reach out to Katrice, as well as adults navigating matters associated with advancing age, and the stressors that may result.
Having been a direct caregiver for more than 10 years, Katrice has unique experiences navigating the continuum care model, which generally starts with an adult’s transition from their home through hospice as needed. At every step, both caregivers and seniors alike may face emotional challenges that warrant the assistance of a skilled helper.
Ultimately, Katrice’s goal is to create a safe space for her clients as they navigate therapy. Particularly, those clients who are new to the counseling process. Katrice uses an integrative approach to therapy, in which customized theories are applied that best meet the needs of clients.
Katrice recognizes life events sometimes need immediate action that result in a client seeking a skilled helper. For this reason, she offers solution-focused brief therapy as well.
Caregiving attributes can present differently and for this reason, she welcomes leaders, managers, medical practioners, supervisors, mental health practioners seeking support.
Katrice is inspired by recent shifts to standardize mental health treatment. Throughout the profession’s history, many have sought and received help in the shadows, or not at all because of lack of access. As a mental health professional, Katrice is determined to do her part to address the need.
